In the year 2062, humanity is on the brink of destruction. Tiberium, a mysterious, crystalline substance of unknown origin that had been ravaging the Earth for decades and sparking a decades-long conflict between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, had led to a situation where the planet was no longer habitable. In the midst of the crisis, Kane, the prophet and leader of the Nod, came out of hiding to deliver the news to the GDI that he had developed a system to control Tiberium and harness its power. Thus, the two enemy factions, GDI and Nod, entered into a desperate and unexpected alliance to stop Tiberium from destroying humanity. Now, after 15 years of work, the network is almost complete.
