No one remembers why the Kemono began their rampage through a once-prosperous Azuma. Fueled by desperation, they wield the power of primal nature at its most destructive. For a while, it seemed that none could stand against their overwhelming might. But hope arrives in the form of a formidable hunter armed with deadly weapons and ancient technology called Karakuri that could turn the tide of battle.   Hunt giant beasts welded to the forces of nature - Kemono are the embodiment of the forces of nature. These giant beasts have bonded with the elements of nature over time, adapting the environment to their needs. How are ordinary people supposed to defeat such powerful enemies? It will require quite a lot of courage, cunning and skill. Fend off creature attacks, learn their behavior and use karakuri and weapons to show the beasts where they belong. Create your own hunting grounds - Only you in all of Azuma can use karakuri. This ancient technology allows you to transform your surroundings into ingenious hunting grounds, perfect for eliminating large kemono. Collect materials to create a variety of karakuri according to your needs, skills and the kemono you encounter. Use them to explore the world, defend yourself and other hunters and gain the upper hand in battle. Hunt as a team or alone - Some prefer to go hunting without companions. However, even the most successful hunter may encounter a beast that he cannot defeat alone. In WILD HEARTS, you can join forces with up to two friends (or other players), using the hunter's gate to hunt for game. Working as a team, you will achieve more and complete special tasks. Hunt and get gear - The more often you hunt, the more progress you make. Create a character, then collect hunting materials and expand your arsenal of weapons and armor to defeat even bigger beasts. Choose from eight ranged or melee weapons (such as the karakuri katana or wagasa) and play your way. Fabricate equipment from fallen kemono and customize it to your liking. The more you develop, the better equipment you gain and the bigger beasts you defeat. Explore feudal Japan in a fantasy climate - Immerse yourself in beautiful lands full of residential, religious and war buildings that have been engulfed by nature. Travel through four scenic and dangerous regions with different seasons. Visit flowery hills around a cherry blossom tree, an island dotted with waterfalls, bathed in autumn leaves, a fortress ravaged by war, and an old castle in the middle of a frozen lake, split in two by a menacing beast. The chaos caused by the restless kemono will affect the seasons in unexpected ways, making hunting even more challenging - until you reach the last hunting ground.
